  5. h .h says:

It is an Australian exhibition…I’m laughing to your selection..they are very weak..
the other posters are very strong …

  6. AGW says:

h .h, you mean i’m laughing “at” your selection not to your selection….if you look and “read” what the posters are all about you will get a better idea.

  7. h.h says:

    I am sorry for you…

  8. ibrahim mohd says:

sorry for this competition that is purely australian! most of the winners are australians. and i thought this competition judges the designs by creativity but most of the 30 selected are plain and too simple!

    • Nick Hallam says:

Hey Ibrahim, Nick from PP here. I was part of the shortlisting panel that chose the top 30. I can tell you that we had no idea where any of the posters came from at all.

Over the past 3 years we have seen a lot of Australian’s in the top 30, but this is because the competition is based here and we get some many more entries from Australia meaning there is a higher chance that they will be in the top 30! Make sense?

  9. Lucas says:

Congrats to all, great stuff all around. Bravo.

  10. Katja Bak says:

So many negative comments – that’s a shame. Really disheartening to hear in the community.

I’d say design is about getting an idea across quickly and provoking further thought – especially in this competition as the posters will be around the streets and looked at fleetingly. That’s why they have to be simple.

I don’t think the any of the 2,000+ entries are weak. They all have their own merit. It’s a shame that you are being so negative.

Furthermore I’d say so many of the top 30 are Australian because the competition is based in Australia and thus that is where it is most widely seen. It’s math.

  11. Brefsone says:

Wow!!! while some are great, alot of these are very weak indeed!!! In both concept and execution? Did you guys actually look over all of them? Some amazingly well delivered ideas in the bunch which have been overlooked for what looks like 1st year designers vector work.

    Pick up your game Judges……..

    • Zac says:

      Hi Brefsone

We did indeed look over all the entries, I was part of the process and it was no easy task! Sorry to hear that you don’t agree with a lot of the selection. We feel that the 30 selected posters visually communicate their messages strongly. Design, as with every creative field, is very subjective by nature, so it’s inevitable that there will differences of opinion towards the top 30. What would your top 30 selection look like? We’d love to know!

      Z

  12. Brian says:

    None from India again!… Why?

    • nick says:

It would have been amazing to have some entries from India this year. Unfortunately we didn’t choose any. Hopefully next year!

  13. Eleona Designer says:

It is not the destination but the journey!!
    Congrats guys!!! :D

  14. ibrahim mohd says:

been busy doing some pitch lately but i have to disagree with you that you did not know the origin of your selected top 30 because you require them to submit their email ad as well as their country of origin, right? i also noticed that among the more than 2000 entries you find two (2) entries from one guy in your selected top 30 and he’s australian. why? brain says nothing selected from india but you are able to choose 2 entries from one australian guy in your top 30. now for the design itself i always advised my creatives to think out of the box in executing designs and not be among the mediocres outside. yes design needs to be simple but it has to leave an impactful message to where it was supposed to communicate but with further analysis i find only a handful in your top 30 that leaves that kind of message. designs should be more creative that it challenges your imagination as well as the viewers. some i may say are too simple and too ordinary as compared to other entries who unfortunately was not among the top 30. congrats anyway for a successful event and hopefully you can do better with judging your selected top 30.
