Limited Edition 2009 Winning Poster

Limited Edition 2009 Winning Poster

Every poster bought will put 26 posters on the street this year!

In 2009 we ran the first Positive Posters international design competition. We asked the design community to create a poster that embodied the idea of ‘Change’. We received 339 entries, from 53 countries. The winner was Peter Chmela, a graphic designer from Slovakia, with a simple, yet strong poster ‘Smile’.

In April this year we pasted close to 3,500 copies of Peter’s poster around Melbourne, Australia saturating the city in bright yellow posters.

Of the 3,500 posters, we held on to just 80 and will release them for sale via our online store next week.

The posters are A1 (594x841mm) two colour (PMS Yellow & Black) prints on 120gsm uncoated stock. Local Melbourne 100% carbon offset printer Finsbury Green, printed them for us earlier this year.

Each poster has been stamped, individually numbered and signed by the founder of the competition, Nick Hallam.

All proceeds received from the sale of the poster will fund the printing and distribution of the 2010 winner.
